We have just in arrived in Nantes for the 2nd edition of the Gourmandise. An incredible melodic and deep house event run in the North of France, in Nantes, organised by Roman Delacroix and his incredibly talented team. Today, we have the opportunity to play some FIFA, have a music geek-out session sharing future releases and most importantly get to know the man behind the music and sound of Kungs. Kungs tells us how his has been up for the last 72 hours on his latest mini-tour, although he is still remarkably energetic and enthused to tell us about his journey so far and his plans for his fresh new sound which he is developing.

This super-talented 18 year old producer, Kungs has come from pretty humble beginnings in Aix en Provence and during the last year and a half has exploded onto the melodic and deep house scene. His remixes of Bob Marley’s Jammin’ and of Jasmine Thompson’s cover of Paulo Nutini’s Candy have the set the bar for up and coming young producers throughout the world. Whereas Martin Garrix has set the standard in the EDM scene, Kungs has been his equivalent in the tropical house and melodic house scene. In the last 3 months securing himself: an official remix of Axwell and Ingrosso latest track, several supporting sets with Klingande and handful of successful releases under the Bearded Man label. Kungs and his fresh sound have certainly created a stir in France and throughout Europe. People have quickly grown to fall in love with his hilarious instagrams video of using spoons and crazy objects to make new sounds and most importantly with his high level of his melodic production and inspirational deep house tracks. Not only is this young guy one of the most talented producers in the industry today, getting to know him, he is also one of the most hardworking and down to earth. We hope you guys enjoy this 30 minutes interview with Kungs!
